February 2015 in Alberta’s Capital

February rolls around with the promise of romantic paraphernalia being everywhere you look, reminding you of either your pathetic loneliness or your obligation to open your wallet for your significant other. Fear not, losers and cheapskates, for the city of Edmonton has the answers for all your Valentine’s Day problems! …Well, mostly! Check out these events to enjoy with friends, dates - or your mom, should you have neither.

    View of the Night Sky
When: Every Thursday at 7 pm
    Location: University of Alberta Observatory
View the stars for not only mere seduction, but for science, too! For free, bear witness to constellations, galaxies, planets, moons, and nebulae. Each hour will not only have a glorious look into the universe, but public talks, as well, so if the skies in Edmonton aren’t cooperative, there’s the opportunity to chat with astronomers to get your nerd on. Which is sexy. Visit this site for additional information.
